Welcome to Brook House Farm in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds area of outstanding natural beauty, home of the Strawson family.
There have been horses on the farm for 30 years. In the last 10 years we have been breeding from our Irish Draught Stallions. After falling in love with the breed we bought our first stallion and mares from Ireland.
With King of Diamonds as his great grandad, Clonleigh Dancer was our first, class 1, ID stallion. He produced some quality pure bred and part bred progeny, with excellent temperaments, which have gone on to achieve in all disciplines and the showing arena.
Our latest stallions, Bluestone Zeus and Gorseyleas Hunter’s Moon are now standing at stud. We have our own ID Class 1 mares as well as pure warmblood and thoroughbred mares. This is in-order to produce high quality progeny with potential for showing, hunting, show jumping, dressage and eventing.
Livery Yard
We have been a livery yard for 30 years. We have several paddocks for turn out and grass livery, farm buildings that have been converted into American Barn type stables and an indoor arena for schooling, riding and jumping which is especially useful in the colder, wetter months.
We are mainly Grass and DIY livery but are flexible and can often offer a package of part or full livery to suit the owner. Being in an area of outstanding natural beauty we can offer miles of glorious hacking straight from the yard, with wide verged lanes and bridleways across the open countryside.
Connemaras
We have a small number of registered Connemara mares which we breed from. We outsource the stallions. Occasionally we have youngstock for sale.
