Bluestone Zeus Irish Draught Stallion

Zeus has top Irish Draught bloodlines including Castana, Huntingfield Rebel and Ginger Dick. Sired by Carrickcottage Star.  His dam is Springvale Dawn Rose with her bloodlines going back to the athletic Laughton.

Zeus was champion colt foal at Ballinasloe All Ireland Championship Show in 2017. He then came to us in Lincolnshire and was the top placed yearling at Lincolnshire County Show in 2018 and was also best yearling colt at the Irish Draught Annual Breed Show in 2018.

At the 2022 ID Annual Breed Show he won the Novice Working Hunter competition. He has also been consistently jumping double clears in BS competitions – a good start for his first year competing.

Zeus was graded in 2021 with comments from the inspectors: ‘Zeus has an excellent temperament with good athleticism. He has a super attitude to his work being very quick off the floor with lots of scope and technique.’

His first crop of foals were born in spring 2021 out of pure Irish Draught and thoroughbred mares.
